Confession time:
I tend to be pretty apathetic about current events & the things that happen in the world outside of my little bubble. I’ve sort of always been this way, but I’m taking more interest than I used to & I want to care more & not be so confined to my little corner of the world.
My solution:
Tonight is my first night of class. again. (I know I just said I was done. Guess I just can’t stop!) I’m taking a course called “Perspectives on the World Christian Movement.” I’m really excited about this & I’m excited about broadening my horizons…caring about the other side of the world. And knowing what I can do to be involved.
Well, we’re still in Telluride…one more day of my Rocky Mountain High. It has been such a fun trip! For those who haven’t heard, we were given this incredible opportunity to go to Telluride with some Summer Staffers as the “over 25 years old chaperones.” We’ve been having a great time with super-fun people, and have been enjoying our time in the mountains. Some highlights:
-skiing (well, this wasn’t exactly a “highlight” for me, but we did spend one day on the slopes. And neither Ben, or myself were rescued by the ski patrol this time, so that’s good.)
-eating some GREAT food…in the lodge & in Telluride. I had probably the best meal in a restaurant I’ve ever had in my whole life.
-being surrounded by several feet of snow everywhere. I’ve never been in so much snow in my whole life.
-riding the gondola back & forth to Telluride.
-snowshoeing. Ben & I went for a few hours today & saw some spectacular views!
Some pics:

We made steaks one night. Ben likes steak.

This is us snowshoeing.

My favorite picture from our snowshoeing expedition.
We’re having a GREAT time! And we feel so blessed to be here!
