I road another 100 mile ride. It only took me 6:19…much better then my previous 9 hours. Here is the weird thing about doing these 100 mile rides. For the last 50 miles or so i cant figure out why im doing it…thinking about stopping and calling Beth to come get me. But as soon as your done you start thinking about when you can do another one. I guess the trick is to get into good enough shape that the number of miles you spend wanting to quit is less.

Here is the conversation my friend had in line at wal-mart the other day. Names have been changed to protect somebody
Tiger (to lady with three kids): Are they all yours?
Lady: Yha..they’re triplets.
Tiger: How old are they?
Lady: 2 years
Tiger: All of them?
Lady: …? They’re triplets.
I had seen a video or two from www.ted.com, but the other night i had some time to actaully visit the site and watch some. The vides are short, so there nice and easy to digest, but they are full of ideas and new things to think about. Im working through the ones on poverty right now (im only about 3 in…).
We just got back from Colorado…it was a great trip, with lots of time out in Creation, hanging out with friends, having fun, eating good food. Here are a few pictures…

We stayed in a great house at Twin Lakes, this is the view from back yard…cool spot, if you are ever going to Twin Lakes we can get the info for the house.

It would be cool if this was the house we stayed in…it is a really old house the we hiked to, its part of an old resort from the 1800s.

We hiked a 14000 foot mountain…

At the top, and not even halfway to the height of Everest…crazy

We drove over Independence Pass to a little place called Aspen.

I (and Luke) also took a little bike ride

It was hard, but not as hard as i thought it would be to make it to the top of the pass, riding down was fun…and really fast, not fast like these guys though…
Thats it, it was a good trip, now its back to work.
And that’s just what we’ll do. We’re headed to the mountains for the week. And it is going to be grand. Time to sit and reflect, time to hike & be in Creation, time to laugh with friends. Here we go!
I don’t know much about Ron Paul, but i think i read that he wanted a national sales tax. As i sort though how to amend a tax return, and i will have to pay more taxes (with interest!) a national sales tax sounds kind of nice. Less alphabet soup is a good thing.
