One thing i have been working on recently at camp is figuring out how we can use the web to connect with people outside of newliferanch.com (facebook, youtube, etc). Its been fun, there is a lot of room to be creative. I suppose in some ways we are late to the game, but i think i have a good grasp on how that world works, much better then if i had tried to start three years ago. So, any body have any ideas? Are there organizations that you are involved with in some way that use social media particularly well? What are they doing to make it work? How are they using these tool to connect to people and tell their story? Right now im doing stuff on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. There is a Wikipedia article also that somebody started.

If you have any ideas about how we can effectively use these or other services i would love to hear them.

Yesterday was the first day of Summer Camp 2008. Camp is full…there is energy in the air…as i write i can here 237 campers yelling in the chapel for MCP. Its a fun time of the year!

I shot a few pictures last night of MCP Live:

Our theme this summer is Identity, campers will be learning about what makes them who they are, and that there worth and identity comes from Jesus Christ, not the things they have, people they know, or actions.

We covet your prayers during this time of the year, that we would have energy, and that God will be glorified this Summer Camp Season.

If you want to keep up with what is going on at camp you can through NLR’s page on Facebook and through the picture galleries at newliferanch.com.
