We went ice skating last week…it was a lot of fun, kind of random, but we had a good time.

I have not really gone out and taken pictures in a long time. I kind of lost interest…but im starting to want to go out and see what i can get. I took the camera ice skating and took a few…

I did go out the other day with Chase. I took this one of an eagle. Its not great, but kind of fun with the moon in the background

and a few of the moon reflecting off a stream, if you look right in the middle you can see some animal swimming around, and a friend off to the right…

and the design of this blog drives me crazy…its time for a change….

We celebrated Marla’s birthday last weekend in Tulsa.

The highlights:

• We were picked up by a limo
• We crammed 12 adults and 1 infant into the limo and were taken to the restaurant
• We dined on tasty meats at a Brazilian Steakhouse
• We were limo-ed back to our cars
• We stuffed cake and ice cream cake into our already pretty full bellies and let that settle
• We joined Luke & Marla at the Imax for an incredible showing of U23D….It was really amazing…. we were thiclose to Bono’s sweat…or at least it felt that way.  That guy is intense.

Somebody gave me a subscription to Outside Magazine. I don’t know who it was…if it was you…Thanks!

There was a little thing in this months issue saying that they have done away with blow in cards (you know, those pesky little cards that try to get you to subscribe and fall all over the floor and are annoying). And they had…no cards fell out!

so, props to Outside for that….

Wired magazine talks about how it stinks that magazines have blow in cards, but Wired still has them…

Thanks for the encouragement you’ve been sending me about being halfway done with my hours….I appreciate the support!

David F. & Laura can start jumping for joy now…  Ben & I are starting Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University tonight.  We have a unique opportunity to work through this 13 week program right here at the Ranch with some other staff families, and through the blessings of people we don’t even know, we’re going to be able to go through this at no cost. (The program is usually about a $100 investment I think.)  We’re excited about this opportunity, and I think it’s interesting that it’s called Financial “Peace” University.  Finances are not usually something people feel peaceful about-whether they have money or they don’t.

And it looks as if God is providing some peace in other areas of my life right now-mainly regarding my schedule and providing some relief where I’m feeling overwhelmed.

I like this peace feeling.  It’s been awhile.
